Jorge Alba, PhD, PE, CFM, F.ASCE, has joined the Storm Water Department at RPS Klotz Associates, bringing more than 25 years’ experience.
A senior project manager, Dr. Alba’s background includes a wide range of civil engineering projects, including storm water design, river bank erosion control, hydrologic and hydraulic studies, floodplain mapping, highway drainage, municipal and commercial land development, water distribution modeling and geotechnical design.
Dr. Alba received his bachelor’s degree from the Colombian School of Engineering, his master’s from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and his doctorate from Georgia Institute of Technology. He is a recently appointed American Society of Civil Engineers Fellow and a Chartered Marine Engineer with the Institute for Marine Engineering, and also belongs to the Texas Floodplain Management Association and the Project Management Institute.
