The project involved traffic signal design at 40 locations along Seawall Boulevard and Avenues D, E, F, O, and P. The signal improvements were designed to comply with Federal ADA requirements and in accordance with TxDOT and City of Galveston standards and specifications. The project also included preparation of fiber optic communication design plans along Seawall Boulevard, Avenue O, and Avenue P. In addition, development of congestion mitigation measures and optimization of signal timing plans were conducted along Seawall Boulevard. The construction budget for these improvements was approximately $4,000,000 and the design was completed over a period of 16 months. |
