Klotz Associates’ scope for this project included modeling the City’s water system, topographic survey, geotechnical, electrical work, structural design, complete design including plans, specifications and cost estimates, bid phase services, and construction phase services.

Klotz Associates’ understanding of the City’s system and their needs at Water Plant No. 7 made this a successful project. We solved the right problems with the funding that was available to the City at the time, and the water system model allowed us to fine-tune the pump station design for future needs. Our consistent contact with the TCEQ on the regulation changes and requirements has kept the City ahead of the game on necessary changes to their disinfection systems and take-point requirements.

Klotz Associates prepared the design for improvements to the City of Humble’s Water Plant No. 7. The work was done in two phases. The first phase of the project included the construction of a 1.0 million-gallon prestressed concrete ground water storage tank and a temporary pump station. This phase of the project also included the demolition of two hydropneumatic tanks and three bolted steel water tanks. The second phase of the project included the construction of a new pump station at Water Plant No. 7 to upgrade the pump sizes.
