Texas-based civil engineering firm RPS Klotz Associates has been named a national winner in the inaugural Best and Brightest Sustainable CompaniesTM awards competition presented by the National Association for Business Resources.
In addition to incorporating sustainable principles into its engineering designs and supporting environment-oriented community activities, the firm launched an employee-led, statewide Sustainability Committee in 2015 to implement and foster sustainable practices at its locations.
The firm has twice been awarded for its sustainable design techniques, including Engineering Excellence Gold Medal awards from the American Council of Engineering Companies in 2013 for the Birnamwood Drive Extension project and in 2015 for the North Houston Skatepark project.
“Sustainability is more than a catchphrase; it’s a responsibility for all of us to be aware in every part of our lives,” said D. Wayne Klotz, PE, D.WRE, president of RPS Klotz Associates. “I commend all of our employees who work to incorporate sustainability in the office, at home and in our engineering designs.”
